Script.it connects to HubSpot so your scripts and the AI agent can work with your CRM directly. Describe what you want in plain English — “when someone submits our demo form, create a ticket and email the deal owner,” “summarize this week’s sales conversations,” “generate a quote from this deal” — and the agent builds and runs the automation using your HubSpot data. This guide walks through installing the integration, choosing the permissions to grant, and running your first HubSpot automation.

What you can automate

The HubSpot integration is not a fixed one-way sync. The agent uses whichever HubSpot capabilities your automation needs, including:
  • CRM records — create, update, and search contacts, companies, deals, tickets, quotes, and custom objects.
  • Sales context — read conversations, sales emails, and timeline activity to summarize and act on customer history.
  • Marketing — work with campaigns, marketing events, forms, and form submissions.
  • Data movement — import and export CRM data in bulk, attach and manage files.
  • Actions — send transactional emails, assign records to owners, log timeline events.

Before you start

You’ll need:
  • A Script.it account — the free tier works.
  • A HubSpot account where you’re allowed to install apps (most portals require Super Admin or App Marketplace permissions).
Some permissions depend on your HubSpot subscription. For example, ticket automations use Service Hub features and marketing automations use Marketing Hub features. If your portal doesn’t include a product, HubSpot automatically leaves those permissions out during installation — everything else keeps working.

Install the integration

1

Open Settings → Integrations

In Script.it, click Settings in the sidebar, then select Integrations.
2

Find HubSpot

Search for HubSpot in the catalog and click Connect.
3

Choose the permissions to grant

Script.it shows a checklist of HubSpot permissions before anything is authorized. All are optional — keep the full set for maximum flexibility, or trim the selection to exactly what your automations will touch. You can reconnect later with a different selection if your needs change.
4

Authorize on HubSpot

Script.it redirects you to HubSpot’s authorization page. Pick the HubSpot account you want to connect, review the requested permissions, and click Connect app.
5

Confirm the connection

You’re redirected back to Script.it, and HubSpot now appears in your connected integrations with a Connected badge. It’s immediately available to your scripts and sessions.
You can also start from a session: if you describe an automation that needs HubSpot before it’s connected, the agent pauses and walks you through the same authorization flow without leaving the chat.

Run your first HubSpot automation

1

Start a session

Open a new session and describe what you want. For example: “Every Monday at 9am, list deals that moved stage last week and email me a summary.”
2

Review what the agent builds

The agent identifies that the automation needs HubSpot, builds a script using your connected account, and shows you what it will do.
3

Run it

Run the script directly, or let its trigger (a schedule, a webhook, or a HubSpot event) fire it automatically. Every run shows exactly what the agent read and changed.

Permissions reference

Script.it requests HubSpot permissions (OAuth scopes) so the agent can act on your behalf. Only basic OAuth access is required — every other scope is optional, and HubSpot drops any scope your subscription doesn’t include. Here is what each group enables:
Script.it stores only the OAuth tokens HubSpot issues — your HubSpot password is never visible to Script.it. Tokens are encrypted at rest, and scripts never contain credentials.

Sharing HubSpot with your team

You can share your HubSpot connection with a workspace so teammates’ scripts can use it, or keep it private. See Connect integrations for how sharing works and what it means for the connection owner.

Disconnecting

To remove Script.it’s access to your HubSpot account:
  1. In Script.it, go to Settings → Integrations, find HubSpot, and click the ··· menu → Disconnect. This revokes the tokens immediately.
  2. Optionally, you can also remove the app from HubSpot directly: in HubSpot, go to Settings → Integrations → Connected Apps, find Script.it, and uninstall it.
Scripts that use HubSpot will stop working until you reconnect.
